About FIJI
FIJI (Funerary Inscriptions of Jews from Italy) is a database covering Jewish funerary texts from Late Antiquity and the early medieval period, discovered primarily in Rome, Venosa, and several other locations in Italy.
The information in the database has been compiled by Dr. Ortal-Paz Saar (Utrecht University). It is part of her research into the lives of Jews in Italy, as reflected in their funerary inscriptions.
